Orthotics (Panther Paws)
Panther Sports Medicine offers a complete line of customized orthotics to meet the needs of an active population.
There are 5 different styles of orthotics
Prior to selecting the orthotics, each patient is assessed in non-weight bearing, static weight bearing and walking or running. This allows us to determine the most accurate prescription for each individuals needs
The Panther Paws Sport Orthotic

Provides Stabilityand Support: The typical orthotic for the moderately to significantly active individual. The polyethylene shell ensures dynamic stability and support, while at the same providing an opportunity to offload any problem areas.
Versatility: This orthotic typically fits into an athletic shoe, walking shoe or hiking boot, and is designed to beworn 75 to 80% of the time the patient is on their feet.
The Panther Paws Heel Cup/Orthotic

Enhanced Stability and Support: A step-up from our sport orthotic, this appliance is typically prescribed for patients with plantarfasciitis, or achilles tendinitis. The strong polyprophylene shell also makes it the applianceof choice for pre-adolescent populations.
Versatility: This orthotic typically fits into an athletic shoe, walking shoe or hiking boot, and is designed to be worn 75 to 80% of the time
The Panther Paws Slim-Line Orthotic

Stability and Support: This appliance is typically used in lower demand situations, or in an environment where space is an issue (i.e. in a downhill ski boot).
Versatility: This orthotic typically fits into any type of shoe, but in comparison to our sport and heel cup models the degree of correction offered with this model is significantly less.
The Panther Paws Accommodative Orthotics
Accommodation and Comfort: Two types of orthotic are offered in this category. Both are softer and more accommodative and they’re typically designed for patients who are minimally to moderately active.
Target Population: These orthotics are routinely prescribed for people suffering with rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, or foot hypersensitivity
